Despite it being lunch break, the student lounge was fairly empty — and that with it being a community college and the only place with vending machines. Jughead sat on the couch, next to Betty, though he read a book instead of paying attention to anyone or anything.
That was at least until something landed on his thighs. He merely looked up from his book with a raised eyebrow, when Archie leaned on his lap. His elbows rested on Jughead's thighs, his chin in his hands and grin on his face.
"I've got a question" Archie started and Jughead couldn't help but exhale softly, preparing himself for the inevitable.
“Shoot away”
"Okay. How much garlic can you take before, you know..." Archie trailed off dramatically, glancing around before baring his teeth and letting out a ridiculous hissing sound "Ssssss — oh, it burns, it burns!"
Jughead blinked at him, deadpan.
"Archie, what the hell"

For a moment, it was quiet.
Jughead was still sitting against Archie's legs, arms wrapped around his knees, face hidden and breathing a bit hitched.
Archie frowned softly.
"Hey," He said softly, crouching down in front of him "You okay?"
"The shed is... loud" He muttered finally, which didn't make much sense because it was silent now. Archie rested a hand carefully on the back of his beanie.
"Okay. We can go somewhere else if you want" Jughead shook his head once. Then, after a beat opened his mouth again.
"Archie?"
"Yeah?"
There was another pause. Long enough that Archie thought that was it.
Then, very suddenly,
"Do you think I should have sex?"
Archie blinked.
"...What?" Jughead lifted his head just enough to look at him, eyes glassy but intensely serious.
"Do you think I should have sex?" Jughead repeated and Archie exhaled softly, sitting down properly. His hands cupped Jughead's face, pulling him closer.
"Jug. You don't have to have sex. Ever, if you don't want to"
"Would you have sex with me?" He asked after a moment and Archie paused.
