Shane: Nice try, but you're in Canada now.

Lily: I will use my section 11(c) right under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Shane: Did you just google that?
Lily: Yes
Lily: It's not as straightforward as America Law and Order, but we have section 11(c), section 13, and section 7.
Lily: So I don't have to answer.
Shane: I love you so much.

Shane: But I'm still going to need you to explain why Cassie Boodram is texting me that she's going to add me to the WAG chat.

Shane: Sorry, I had to check with Ilya. We don't talk about our relationship much so I was surprised.
Cassie: That might be my fault. Zane told me he thought Ilya had a girlfriend and then I got on his case to get Ilya to cave.
Cassie: I won't put you in the group chat if you don't want to be.
Shane: It's okay. Might be nice to have a place to talk about him with people who like him.

Caitlin: Are you new? Have you been together the whole time?
Jane: Well. Our relationship is complicated and with Ilya in the public eye, we don't want to have all these people watching us.
Selena
Selena: I get it. Don't tell Nick, but I'm glad he's not, like, famous-famous. I would not want to deal with him being recognized.

Cassie: So did you guys meet after he moved to Ottawa?
Jane: No, we were already together. I don't even live in Ottawa.

Cassie: Where do you live?
Caitlin
Caitlin: Complicated how? How long have you been together?
Selena
Selena: Caitlin Dykstra, asking the nosy questions everyone wants to know the answers to.
Jane: Montreal.
Jane: Officially for about two and a half years.
Caitlin

Jane: longer

Selena: Wait, does that mean Ilya moved to Ottawa for you?!

Caitlin: Why wouldn't he go to the Voyagers? They're a much better team.

Cassie: No way they have the cap space with Hollander's contract. Plus he might have gotten flayed alive by Montreal. Or Boston. Or both.
Jane: Montreal was not a good option for a number of reasons.

Selena: Is it bad I'm glad we don't have to deal with playoffs?
Selena: Like, I want them to do well, but I like having Nick home and not dealing with all the kids by myself all the time.

Cassie: Did you ever think of marrying a nice accountant instead of a hockey player?
Selena
Selena: That was the dream. Sadly, I fell in love with Nick before I could find one.
Jane: Life would be so much easier if we could control who we love like that.

Caitlin: How bad is it going to be next year with Evan gone when this baby comes?
Selena
Selena: It's going to suck so fucking hard, I'm not going to lie.

Lisa: You could ease her into it a little more.

Selena: As the only one in this chat with a kid (as far as I know, @Jane), I'm going to tell you any type of easing in is gone from your life when that baby shows up.
Selena: But we've got your back. You've got a whole hockey team of women ready to step up.

Caitlin: So is Selena the only one with kids? Or are you, @Jane stashed away with Ilya's secret child who he has to hide from the government?!

Lisa: What the hell, Caitlin?
Jane: No kid here. Not yet.

Jane: Maybe. It will be a while before it's even a possibility.
Jane: I'd love to see Ilya as a dad. He's so good with my friend's kids. And the kids at the hockey camp.
Lisa
Lisa: Were you at hockey camp last summer? I stopped by a few times in Ottawa.
Jane: Oh.
Jane: No. Just from stories I've heard.
Cassie
Cassie: Are you excited for Ilya to have more free time? Will you be able to come here or will he go there?
Jane: I think he'll come here for awhile. It's a pretty busy season for me at work right now. We won't actually get to spend much time together until the summer. Hopefully.
Lisa
Lisa: You hope you won't get to see him for the next three months until it's summer?
Jane: I mean
Jane: Hopefully I get to see him more after work quiets down.
