Work Text:
“Tee, do we still have those white and dark chocolates?” Mark asked, looking at the man beside him. “Can we melt some? Oh! Strawberries and matcha powder too.”
It's Saturday and it's raining. Junior took this opportunity to have a rest day. He has been working non-stop when he found out that Mark, his husband, tested positive on his pregnancy test. He's now 4 months pregnant.
They're currently in their bed cuddling and they've been watching animated movies since morning. Mark reasoned that it's for the baby, but Junior didn’t buy it. He just laughed at his cute husband. He knew Mark had been watching Spirited Away on the television.
Junior is clearly enjoying their situation, like God knew his plan for the day. Junior smiles at the thought and kisses the crown of his husband's head.
“Are you sure?” He fixed Mark’s fringe, “I thought you hate strawberries?” He genuinely asks. Mark has been kind of sensitive towards food ever since he got pregnant.
“I know what I want, Junior Panachai. I want homemade matcha-covered strawberries,” There's a hint of irritation in Mark’s voice, which made Junior laugh. “Don’t you understand?”
Here goes his mood swings again.
“Alright, let me just check if we still have all of those, okay?”
Junior was about to stand up when he felt Mark tug the lower part of his shirt. He looked at the man and he saw his husband pouting at him.
“Tee, carry me, please? I want to feel you.” Mark pouts.
How can he say no to the love of his life?
A thought came to his mind. “Oh? Is that so?” Junior placed his right hand on his chin, pretending to think.
“It just happens that I know another way for you to feel me—it's pleasing, by the way.” Junior smirked, “It favors both of us—”
“Did you just offer me to make out with you? Really, Tee?” Mark rolled his eyes.
“It's raining and cold—it's perfect!” Junior reasoned out, “And, I mean, it’s not just making out but okay! If that’s what on your mind, then—”
“Oh God, I hate you!”
“No, you don't.” Junior replied.
Mark glared at him. “Why did God give me a husband like you?”
“Because I'm perfect?” Mark rolled his eyes again because of his husband's reply, “You're so cute, Bii. Do you know that?” Junior brushed Mark’s hair using his fingers.
Mark blushes. “Just shut up and carry me, okay? I'm craving!”
Deep inside, Mark agrees with what Junior said. Junior is perfect, perfect for him. Everything about Junior is what Mark wants.
Junior went to Mark’s side and carefully carried him in bridal style. Mark stared at his husband.
His eyes that always look at him lovingly, his cheeks that he always presses his cheeks with, his lips that he's addicted to, and his smile that can brighten up his mood.
Mark really loves Junior’s face.
“I love you, Tee. I'm so lucky to have you,” Mark gave Junior a peck on his lips.
Junior stopped walking and looked at Mark. “What's with the sudden compliment?” Junior raised his left eyebrow and Mark just laughed, “I love you too, Bii.”

“I'm done preparing the materials, Tee.” Mark said. “How about you?”
“I just finished checking the fridge and there’s no strawberries in sight,” Junior replied. “But don’t worry, I texted the newlyweds. They said that they have some strawberries in their shop.”
“Force and Book?” Mark asked.
“Yeah.” Junior answers.
“How about the chocolates?”
“Well, based on the website I saw, we need high quality ones.” Junior went to where Mark’s standing and hugged him. “I'll buy some while I’m outside.”
Website? He’s already searching for the recipe? Mark feels like he’s melting inside on how attentive his husband is, but his zoning out stopped when Junior spoke.
“Is that okay, Bii?” Junior asks. Mark nods.
After that, Junior went to their room to change his clothes and get his money.
“Take care, Tee,” Mark said. Junior went to him and kissed his forehead. “Can you hurry, please? I can't wait to cook with you.”
“I will,” Junior gave him a reassuring smile before he left.

It's been 10 minutes and Junior hasn't come home yet. Mark is so bored.
Suddenly, an idea came into his mind.
What if I record us cooking together?
Mark facepalmed.
Why did I just think about this now? I should've done this when I told Junior I'm pregnant.
Well, it's better late than never, right? This is also for memories. I can show this to Jummo in the future.
Mark placed his phone where it can record them clearly—the top of the fridge—and hid it with some decorations so that Junior wouldn’t see it.
Ding dong!
“Bii, I'm home now!” Junior shouted from the door.
“Tee! I’ll be there!” Mark shouted back.
🌞🌛
“Hey,” Mark kissed his husband's cheek. “How are you?” Mark asks. The two of them are now walking towards their kitchen.
“I’m fine, Bii,” Junior answered while placing the bags on the top of the table. "Sorry, I took too long.”
“Hey, it’s alright.” Mark reassures him.
“Most of the stores were closed and I had to go to the other street. I bought baking chocolate chips, by the way,” Junior explained. “I bought us some snacks too just in case we get hungry while watching movies.”
“Thank you, Tee,” Mark said. “I appreciate it.”
“Let's start? Come here,” Junior asked him as he started to get the strawberries out of the plastic bag. “Hold the strawberries for me. I’ll wash them.”
“You're not going to change your clothes? Your hair too, it's wet,” Mark pouted while going to Junior. “And your hoodie looks just as damped.”
“Nope, it’s fine. I'll just change later.” Junior answered, drying the strawberries.
Mark giggled. His husband looked at him, blinking, “What are you giggling about?”
He's so clueless.
“Nothing!” Mark placed his hand on his mouth, repressing his grin. “Don't mind me. I just think you're cute.”
“Oh,” Junior blushes. “Okay, Bii.”

They started making matcha-covered strawberries right away. Mark prepared their desired topping—melted dark chocolate—using a double boiler and put it in a piping bag. After Mark, Junior boiled the white chocolate. When the white chocolate finally melted, he mixed the matcha powder to the white chocolate.
They're now dipping the strawberries in the matcha white chocolate. Junior noticed that his husband kept glancing at the top of the fridge and then to him. Sometimes when their eyes meet, Mark smiles at him.
He looked at the top of the fridge and saw Mark’s phone.
The realization hit him.
Is that why he's giggling earlier?
“Bii, were you recording us?” He asked his husband. Junior gets the phone on top of the fridge.
Mark grinned. “Ah, hehe, surprise?” He then waved at the phone.
“Hi, Jummo!” Mark greets. “Your Daddy Junior found out about my plan. Isn’t it funny that it took him this long?”
Daddy Junior.
Junior blushed at the term. He imagines a mini mix of them calling him that.
Junior didn't bother to hide his smile because of the thought. “Why didn't you tell me?”
“I literally asked you earlier if you're going to change your clothes.” Mark chuckled.
“That is your way of telling me?” Junior pouts.
“It wouldn’t be a surprise anymore if I told you about it, duh.” Mark said. Ah, yes. The mood swings.
“I was waiting for you to figure it out by glancing at the top of the fridge then to you. I’m glad my silly husband found out.” Mark smiled at him. “Besides, it's for Jummo! Isn't my idea cute?”
“It is,” Junior smiled back. He hugged his husband and placed Mark’s phone in front of them. “So, you’re going to record us doing things like this?”
“Yes, so he'll know what we did before he came into our life,” Mark said. “It's like showing him our story.”
“We should watch this later,” Junior said. “I need to check myself. I bet I look horrendous—”
“You don't,” Mark opposed. “It's unfair.”
Junior looked at him confused.
“It's supposed to be funny but you still look handsome despite your wet hair and damped clothes.” Mark added.
“Well,” Junior smirked. “I can't help it. It's one of my charms, you know?” Mark rolled his eyes.
Junior noticed that the rain had stopped earlier. The atmosphere was warm and it's the type that he loves the most. It felt tranquil to him. This is the first time he felt at peace ever since he started working hard for his husband and for their child.
Junior leaned his head on his husband's shoulder. “Bii?”
“Hmm?” Mark hummed.
“I just want to say that I'm so grateful to have you in my life, as a husband and the father of my child,” Junior got down on his knees and kissed Mark’s baby bump. “I love you so much, really.”
"Oh, my God,” Mark hit him lightly. He stood up and faced his husband, and saw a tint of rosy pink in his cheeks.
He's blushing.
“Stop! We'll show this to Jummo in the future, remember? Do you want him to see you being like this?” Mark teased him.
“Like what?” Junior intertwines his hand with Mark’s and nuzzles his nose to the other. “Madly in love with his father a.k.a my gorgeous husband?” Mark just laughed.
“I love you, Junior,” Mark combed his husband's hair using his fingers.
“I love you more, Mark,” Junior kissed his forehead, his nose, and his lips.
A few moments later, Mark secretly smirked as he thought of something silly. “I have a question,” he asks.
“What is it?” Junior replied.
“Will you still love me if I was a-”
“Please,” Junior whined. “Bii, not this again.”
“I'm just kidding!” Mark gets a matcha-covered strawberry and bites it. “Do you want to do something fun, Tee?”
“Like what?” Junior cupped Mark’s cheeks.
“Something like you said earlier. What is it again?” Mark pretended to think. “Ah! Let’s make out? Or maybe… more than that?” Mark smiled at him.
Junior widened his eyes. “Really? Are you sure?”
“I'm in the mood,” Mark licked his heart-shaped lips. “C'mon!” He grinned as he dragged his husband towards their room.
“Let's stop the recording first, Bii.” Junior reminded him.
“Oh, right. I forgot,” Mark gets his phone, “Jummo, we'll end this now, okay? Me and Daddy just have some business to do,” Mark emphasized the word ‘business’ and Junior laughed in the background. “See you soon, sweetie!”
“See you soon, baby. We love you!” Junior also bids his goodbye and turns off the phone.
And there it was. Another day has ended for the couple. But yet, this was only the start of thousands of memories that they’d share with Jummo.
