Sequel to Silent Shadow.
Izuku Midoriya is beginning to remember who he once was, but those memories come with a price. The League of Villains won't let him go if they find out. He doesn't want to abandon his teacher either. It's hard to be a villain when you want to be a hero, however.
Katsuki Bakugou isn't about to let Deku die a second time. He's going to pull out all the stops to get that idiot home. Thankfully, he has some help.

At the start of the school year, every first year at UA takes a test written by Principal Nezu himself. This test is designed not only to test one's academic performance, but their will to keep going in the face of impossible odds. This test, dubbed the Hell Test by students and faculty alike, is grueling for grown adults with months to study, so doing well on it as a first year with no prep time is nigh impossible.
So why is Midoriya flying through it as if it's nothing?

Midoriya Izuku knows how to walk the delicate line between doing so poorly that his teachers publicly humiliate him and doing so well that he gets dragged into the principal's office and accused of cheating. He's been walking it since he was four, after all.
But things are different at UA, and he miscalculates. Badly. And more than one secret is revealed as a result.

Cecilia found her eyes trained on the spot where Danny had just walked through the wall. Like a— “Is the moon haunted?!”
Watkins was silent for a long while, and when Cecilia finally managed to tear her eyes away from the wall and look at her colleague, she found her frowning at the com. "…Who's going to tell the commander?"

There was only so much Soshiro could handle - he was good at fighting, at playing it cool on the battlefield, like the threats before him were nothing but ants waiting to be stomped out by his boots. Yet, faced with Mina and Kafka as they stared him down like he’d just said the most ridiculous thing ever to them, was pushing it.
Outwardly he remained calm, even as his heart thundered in his chest. A reminder that even he too, could feel the effects of fear.
Fear of losing what he cared for. Fear of being told he wasn’t enough. Fear of being rejected.
“What did you say?” Mina asked, more of a command than a question.
Soshiro stood straighter, shoulders squared back, and he took a deep breath like it would be his last.
“I like you, both of you.”
