It was, however, the first time a teacher—or professor, in this case—decided that his paper was so inaccurate he would have to give the student a first hand lesson in order to right his wrongs. Which, this time, meant teaching Stiles exactly what it was like to be knotted.

Laura Hale had spent about two-thirds of her life with her little brother, so she knew him pretty well. She knew all of his quirks and his struggles, and so she was very aware of the fact that he was immensely, dangerously, territorial—and he always had been. He was far more in touch with his wolf side than the rest of their family, which often caused issues when it came to anyone attempting to interact with him. Gods forbid you accidentally get your scent on his clothes or in his den. Reaching your hand a bit too close to his food would end with you losing the appendage. But it was fine—everyone knew Derek’s boundaries, as odd as they seemed.
What Laura did not know, was how the hell the spastic little human ball of annoying sounds and flailing arms (known as Stiles Stilinski) had just jumped onto her brother while he was sleeping and didn't get ripped apart.
