The high numbers of Policy & Abuse tickets are being driven by a large increase in reports about spam. PAC will publish a breakdown of the 2025 tickets in a newsletter early next year.
Thanks team for dealing with the spam! I was wondering if AO3 is considering making it a default to disable guest comments on works unless manually enabled as a way to lighten the administrative load?
Thank you for the suggestion! Currently, guest comments are disabled by default when a user creates a new work on AO3. Users must manually change the comment options to allow for guest comments.
