   I was told, a few years ago, that there's no way to merge duplicate works; is this still the case? For example, I posted works which were later imported as part of the Yuletide import, and I'd be more than happy to merge them, keeping the comments from the pre-import and the AO3-native versions, but the work texts are identical.

      Unfortunately, this is still true. It's something we still discuss implementing, but we need fewer fires for our volunteers to put out!
