    Afaik, if you create a normal collection, add works to it, and then turn it to unrevealed, the works can be unrevealed.

    Since the option to accept your works being automatically added to collections is the default, that could be a problem.

    I don't think people doing this maliciously is common at all, but it has happened, also because of a general confusion around what collections are and how they work. Many end up using collections as bookmarks and then private them without knowing the effects of that.

      Please note that you can't add works that don't belong to you to anonymous and/or unrevealed collections.

      I think Acorn_Squash referred to this sentence in the FAQ:

      But I share your concern regarding if you create a normal collection, add works to it, and then turn it to unrevealed, the works can be unrevealed.
