[What happened between the time Crisbell sacrificed herself and appeared as an old lady at the end of the credits?]
Crisbell has convinced Ardo she can sustain enough time energy to power the portal that will transport the Rena civilization from the past far enough into the future so that both humans and Rena can co-exist. However this comes at a price, as Crisbell seemingly sacrifices herself for the portal to work. However, she survived. She had a plan that she enacted in that instance she burst into light and faded away.
This is a reimagining of the end of the game, but stays as true to the canon with a little twist.
