Years before the tragedy in Ashford Meadow, dreadful dreams had always come to Daeron even as a child. Deaths and horrors and the grief it brought had been a constant companion to the prince. Before the wine and the whores, he found an unlikely friendship with one strange girl, who seemed to share the similarly grim prospect of a sound sleep as himself. Though Romme's dreams were less of a harbinger of tragedy, than it were a reminder of the cruelty of battles and deaths by the recent Blackfyre rebellion that marred the realm. Through quiet stolen moments, they found solace in each other, sharing drinks and comfort all night to escape their own ghosts. A friendship, something which mayhaps would be enough for them to endure it all, even for just a little while.
