Summary
Twenty-year-old Lisa never expected one reckless night to mean anything at all. Carla was supposed to be a stranger — someone she could leave behind by morning.
But weeks later, just as Lisa is trying to move on, something unexpected throws Carla back into her world. Suddenly, avoiding Carla becomes impossible, and the connection between them grows harder to ignore with every passing day.
As feelings deepen and secrets threaten to surface, both women are forced to decide whether what they have is worth the risk of everything falling apart.

Summary
Newcastle University, 2004, three eighteen year olds meet and become firm friends. But while her new friends are confident in their own identity, 18 year old Lisa Swain is still figuring herself out.
After uni, Lisa finds herself settling down in the north east, getting married and having a baby. But when Lisa's wife is killed in a hit and run, she moves back to the Manchester area with her daughter to start afresh.
Four years after losing her wife, Lisa is lonely. Letting herself be set up on a blind date might turn out to be a terrible plan. But, then again, maybe it might just turn out to be the best thing Lisa ever did.
(Eve Panesar-Unwin is a character in this, but she is written in a way that you don't need to know anything about her for this to make sense. So non-Eastenders fans can treat her like an original character.)

Summary
Carla Connor is stubborn and self-sacrificial to a fault. She refuses to let any of her loved ones get tested. After Aidan, it’s a gift she could never accept, a debt she could never repay. So, she insists on waiting for a match from the donor register, thank you very much.
Back home from the hospital, she’s adjusting to life with daily dialysis, doing her best to be there for Betsy, who’s grieving Mason, and to be a partner to Lisa despite the toll her condition is taking on her. But no matter how hard she tries, kidney failure is wearing her down, physically and mentally.
Ryan can’t stand to watch his aunt suffer any longer. Rob might be a match, but his offer comes with strings attached and a cost Carla can’t afford, in more ways than one. So, Ryan calls the one person he knows who has any chance of knocking some sense into her: his mother, Michelle.
Carla is stubborn and convinced she doesn’t deserve this kind of sacrifice. But too bad for her, there’s a long list of people who love her and they’re not about to let go without a fight.

Summary
So I think that the current storyline in emmerdale involving Charity and Dr Todd is very impactful and a story that needs to told. I want to recreate this story between Carla and Becky.
I will not be going into detail of the assault, this will purely be based on the aftermath effects on Carla's mental health, police reporting, the effect on her loved ones and public reaction.
That being said due to the nature of the story please be cautious when reading.
As a survivor, I find it very empowering to tell stories like this and taking into account public opinion of same sex abuse.
For the practicalities of his story - LIsa and Becky are divorced and Carla and Lisa are married.
Also, a note to say yes chatgpt was used to help correct spelling as I am partially sighted and dyslexic. But story, scenes, ideas are all my own.
