Summary
“Would you like to go out for drinks with me?” When Dennis stares at him blankly he continues. “Like a date.”
Dennis continues to stare for a beat. “A date?”
“Yeah.”
“With me?”
“Yep.”
“No one else?”
Abbot squints. “Who else would I invite to a date, Whitiaker?”Look, Dennis has seen how Abbot eyes him, especially when he’s forced to flit around the ER in scrubs too small for him. So, it’s not the craziest thing that he has asked Dennis out. However, Dennis has also seen how Abbot looks at Michael Robinavitch.
or
Jack and Robby both ask Dennis out separately. Dennis thought they were together, but it turns out they don't realise they love each other. Dennis suffers as he observes their 'friendship' and eventually makes them see what they mean to each other

Summary
“Did you really make the food yourself?” Dr Robby asked softly as he folded his arms across his chest.
Dennis nodded dumbly.
“You’re a great cook, kid. Thanks for sharing. It got me through this fucking awful shift.” The older man nodded in thanks, smiled ever so slightly, and then turned around and walked away.
Or; Dennis brings Dr Robby lunch to work one day. The older man is very appreciative. An agreement is made. Who needs boundaries with their boss, anyway?

Summary
“You want my period blood?” Whitaker squinted. “Are you insane?”
Robby was less than a second away from getting on his knees and begging. “Just…I just need a little. Enough to hold me over until I can make it to the blood bank. Please.”

Summary
“You walk out of that door and we’re done. We’re nothing.” Robby threatens as Dennis is about to push the glass doors open, the privacy curtain open for everyone to see now.
Dennis is a doctor now and with that comes the knowledge that this is the right thing to do. Robby needs help. Professional help.
“We’re nothing either way, Michael.” Dennis ignores the way his voice cracks around itself, “I’d rather lose you and have you alive.”
