Summary
Retirement has been kind to Nikto - even if he refuses to be kind in turn. Siberia is cold, inhospitable and in the small logging town he lives in, even the super market aisles seem to have eyes and ears to spy on him.
Four years after quitting, an unfamiliar face accustoms him between cans of soups and rows of produce and Nikto remembers that something has been missing in that small bungalow he calls his own.
