The Alliance had been trying to track the trafficker for far too long and they saw a golden opportunity by tracing one of its cargo ships back to the main ship. Captured and wounded, they were looking for an opportunity to escape when they were tossed into the cell of a human.
Humans, who were among the most dangerous Deathworlders catalogued by the Alliance and who were not knowing of being forgiving of anything.
