“I think he understands now.” Hank said neutrally. “Not taking sides, but it just seems that since the warehouse, both of you have had your emotions running a little high, and this situation doesn’t warrant such a drastic reaction. You’ve been basically living here, haven’t you, trying to find a place that doesn’t remind you of him? He’s doing the same thing; he hasn’t been out of the house since he came back from Markus's, looking for you .”
I put my head down, feeling a little glad he was upset but worse that he felt as horrible as I did. Hank stood up with my dog.
“Come on, come see him.”

“Just to be clear,” I snidely asked Jason, “does this mean CyberLife is hiring us as consultants?”“Yes, obviously,” he reluctantly answered then stood up and walked over to Connor.
“Goodbye,” Jason calmly said and shook his hand. “I’ll see you soon.”
“Why are you behaving like you’re handing me off to him?” I asked with more than a hint of annoyance. “What year is this, 1891?”
I obnoxiously played the beginning bars of Accolay Concerto in a minor to annoy Jason as he left. Connor watched me strangely.
“Why did you lie to your brother about being busy?”
“He doesn’t need to know I'm free.”
Connor considered me for a moment; I glanced at him nervously.
“Oh, I see…sibling rivalry…” he smirked at me, “now I understand.”

“What twist of fate brought The Deviant Hunter into a chemotherapy lab?” Jason asked, shaking his head while changing the subject.Without facing him, I handed him the phone, waiting as he scrolled through the texts.
“I see.”
My brother calmly handed the phone back to me.
“Do you fully understand when seen from the perspective of recent events this…exchange…indicates your meeting was intentionally manipulated to occur for the RK’s detriment, but considering the antagonistic dynamic from your shared history, someone incorrectly anticipated your mutual… positive…reactions?”
I shrugged helplessly.

“Hi, I’m Bridget, Head of Nanobot Screening.”I forced a polite smile, feeling the heat rise in my face, and blushing from minor embarrassment which he didn’t seem to notice until his face went slightly neutral before he smiled sweetly back. I swallowed, knowing what appeared to be a passing thought was actually him scanning me. I was one of the few people with the right background to recognize it.
“Hi, I’m Detective Connor Anderson with the DPD. It’s very nice to meet you!” He took my outstretched hand and firmly held it, waiting for my response.
“Good,” I thought, “since your hot ass just scanned me.” I cleared my throat, not quite confident in my voice.
“I apologize for not seeing you there, Connor .” He still firmly held my hand, possibly taking my pulse, while sweetly smiling.
I eyed him warily.

Summary
Hank and Connor are worn out interviewing anyone they can find who makes a new type of technology that a criminal may be using to kill androids. Investigating this way has left them both irritable with each other, but having no other choice they keep at it. Connor, doing most of the research so Hank can get some sleep, comes across a very interesting possibility. When arriving at ChemoTech to interview the leads, he finds himself alone with the one he's crushing on and woefully unprepared for interviewing her.
Basically an adorable indulgence.

Connor paused, swallowing an uncomfortable lump in his throat. Hank leaned on the car and looked at him critically.“What’s with you?”
“Nothing!” Connor exclaimed, shaking his head. He didn’t need to tell Hank everything. Especially things that make no since to him, like developing what Hank would call a “crush” on a woman he never met and saw only photos of online, and maybe checked her social media, just to see who she spent her time with, or didn’t spend her time with. It seemed to be her dog, which he found charming.
“Connor!” Hank was snapping his fingers at him. “Focus, ok?”
