Summary
The Horned Owl Families Head, Bokuto-heika, sent away his two eldest daughters to faraway towers, in hopes of princes, knights, or nobility to rescue them. This plan would bring kingdoms together in unity, and his daughters would have a husband and be able to carry on the lineage, and Fukurodani would prosper.
Kou, the youngest, was never sent away. She never understood why, she was also a princess. Impatient for her sisters to return, Kou, hatches her own plan. Kou finds her own tower to stowaway in. Kou waits for her own hero to rescue her.
Years later, when Fukurodani is on the brink of war, and her sisters are nowhere to be found, Kou is the only one who can save her kingdom, she has to rise up and become a hero in her own story. With the help of a rebellious prince, a knight seeking honour, and a royal adviser with a magical secret, Kou is determined to show that she can be a princess, save herself and her kingdom.
