As he finally reached her and pressed his gloved hands against her rippling body, Kinger realised somewhere deep down inside his chest that it didn't matter to him either way.

After hearing how Pomni spoke to Jax inside of his abstraction, Kinger can't get the idea out of his mind. And She is still out there behind the glass, a beautiful light in the darkness.
Surely it wouldn't hurt, just to try?
Even if it shatters what's left of his life into pieces.

Summary
If someone asked Jax what it feels like to be him, he'd probably wouldn't be able to give an answer.
Not enough of a man would be a close conclusion, though he wasn't sure if the implications applied to him due to the place where he was trapped in. Not like anyone could assume a purple rabbit was really the epitome of masculinity, obviously including his ears and tail which, for some reason, /oh here it is, had to ask Caine for it to come back/.
"Never realized I had lost it" he'd whisper to himself, alone in the middle of the night, with his back facing away from the wall with too many memories, photos he'd rather not look at again, but for some reason refused to take down.

Ragatha was always welcoming to the newcomers; that's just who she was. So it wasn't particularly special when she found herself worried about Pomni's well-being, nor was it when the jester in question noticed. No, what was unusual was that Pomni appreciated it.
With the hope of forming a strong friendship, Ragatha decided to put on her best behavior, unwilling to lose this chance. If only she could know why those pesky petals kept getting stuck on her throat.
But there was no need to worry, as she was positive it wouldn't get worse.

Jax is definitely not beating himself up after his argument with Pomni. Why would he, when he's already told her and himself he doesn't care about anyone in the circus? He's determined to keep his actual feelings about the circus members behind the door of his bedroom, all contained to a singular corkboard on his wall.
Pomni is determined to continue being friends with Jax, even after their spat, because she knows he was lying his way through it. She's respecting his space as best as she can, until him ignoring her makes her break entirely. Can she find a way to make them be friends again, and find a way past the walls he's built up around himself?

This is just a one-shot of the pilot from Ragatha's point of view, which I wrote to attempt to get into her head for future fics. Still, enjoy her pain!
