“…What?” Jax flushed. “What the hell do you mean by that?”

Summary
It wasn’t long till she began hearing a cacophony of distressed voices coming closer to her and Pomni. Jax turned her head as much as she could, seeing an array of new colorful blurs enter her vision. While her eyesight was still clouded, she knew exactly who those colors belonged to. That wasn’t the part that confused her.
What confused her was why they were all fussing over her. She didn’t end up abstracting. Sure, she felt like utter hell, and it was a miracle she was able to stay half awake, but she was alive.
They didn’t have to stay; after how she’d treated them, they shouldn’t care about her.
Why did they care?

Perhaps it’s because of how often they did this, but Pomni hadn’t thought Jax was being serious in his pleas. So she persists, so focused on her task that she doesn’t see him reach forward with his long neck and clamp his mouth around her leg.
They’re just friends, but Jax likes to bite Pomni for some reason.
(Alternatively, five times Jax bites Pomni (innocently) and the one time Pomni bites Jax (not so innocently).)

.Instead of the SOMA theory being true, they were cryogenically frozen in capsules so government agents could see how they could use the Circus.
They found nothing useful, so they were released from the circus and from C&A after chapter 9 with a sum of money on the condition that they not tell anyone what had happened.
The problem? They were released at different times and places, so they haven't reunited yet.
Luckily for Jax/Daisy, fortune seems to be on her side, bringing her the important people into her life.
Now it's time for the rock!
