Does it matter to the—” Zuko cuts himself off, chest heaving, eyes burning. “Does it matter to the Air Nomads?”

The conversation goes on, but Ikki is only half-listening. Instead, she’s imagining it – a summer spent on the road, travelling from place to place, performing every evening. Seeing new places, meeting new people. She thinks about Auntie Kya, all the places she’s been, the stories she has about just about every place on the big world-map in Dad’s study. Perhaps she could see the whole world, just like Auntie Kya. Perhaps this could be the start of it.
