Summary
Draco Malfoy's father died when he was five, and with him the more immediate disgrace his family had received after the Dark Lord's demise. Now the Malfoy’s are a pair of two. He is raised to treat the world passively, not assuming he is worth more or less than he actually is. He is under-socialised when compared to his pureblood peers, but he likes it quiet like his mother. He expects his school years to be enjoyable and undramatic, considering the war is over and public sentiment has settled, but chance meetings and frayed ends may upend his hopes for a peaceful time at Hogwarts.
Harry Potter was raised by his Aunt and Uncle and they don't like him. Harry doesn't have trouble admitting that much to himself. But at 11 he realizes he's a wizard and suddenly, an experience that he has no memory of becomes the trait everyone uses to define him. The magical world is a wonderful escape from his wretched home life, but it has been glossed with a false veneer of unexpected fame and notoriety that immediately overwhelmed him. What Harry really needs is some guides that are willing to help him who can see through the stories everyone wizard in Britain has been told.
