Summary
Someone new moved to Smallville, in the house on the other side of the Kent farm.
Clark meets the new kid, Bruce Wayne, and his first impression isn't great. He thinks that Bruce is spoiled and rude and out of place. Maybe that's why he blows up at him. But he still saves him when he's in trouble, that's just the kind of person that Clark is.
After a while they develop a tentative kind of friendship over the summer. Bruce isn't like anyone else that Clark knows, and he feels connected to him in all of his out of place-ness.
His own feelings for the other take him by surprise, he only hopes that he can stomp them down before he ruins their friendship over them.

Shane Hollander dies in 2022, on the day of his first wedding anniversary with Ilya Rozanov. Somehow, he's transported back nearly a decade into the past, to 2013, his memories and a ring letting him know it was all real. He speaks Russian now, having learned from Ilya in his past life, and has the benefit of hindsight.
