Summary
Husk pinched the bridge of his nose, heaving a heavy sigh. How the fuck did he end up in situations like this? When he looked back at the deer, he found his ears were all but plastered to the top of his head and sweat was beginning to bead at his brow. “Do you know what you took?” he finally asked.
“I didn’t take anything.”
Which, reading between the lines, meant… “Succubus? Incubus?”
“…no and no. I…” His nose scrunched up. “…may have ingested something I shouldn’t have.”
“Such as?”
“A spider demon. There was a dark, viscous liquid coming from its mouth. I thought it was blood. Why let a perfectly fresh corpse go to waste?”
“So you licked it?”
He somehow managed to scowl around his ever present smile. “I didn’t lick it! I licked my finger.”

Vox's fingers dance over Alastor’s underwear, slip under the waistband – then pause.
“Actually,” Vox says, “I don’t think we need to take these off.”
Alastor meets Vox’s eyes and wills her face not to betray any confusion. She’s – she’s not an expert in matters pertaining to sex, obviously, but being naked is surely a prerequisite?
Vox smiles at her. “It’s okay, Allie. We’ll keep your panties on,” she says. “You’re a good girl, right? You’ve never done this before. So it’s okay if you don’t want to be naked in front of me.”
