"So, what is this about?" Nefer asked. She was admittedly a little curious. It wasn't often that she got to hear requests that she wasn't expecting.

Flins started with a sigh. "It concerns dearest Lauma-" Nefer suppressed a twitch, "-well I suppose you may already have some inkling. She isn't here today for a reason, one imagines."

Nefer kept her expression placid, incling her head slightly. "I know of her little excursion out with Columbina, yes. They were seen near starsand shoal, heading North, on track towards the old Experimental Design Bureau." The note Lauma had left atop the freshly laundred and folded sheets had been brief, stated that she expected to be back within the week, and she had left her nice nightclothes- that were meant for sleeping in a proper bed and not a bedroll in the outdoors- in the front right corner of Nefer's closet, such that the cold, sharp scent of frostlamp flowers found its way to every blouse that Nefer owned.

    Summary

Hawk learns about seers, who speak to the stars in exchange for losing everyone they love, and so he watches his sister pounce after guppies and makes his choice.

That night he leaves Moth to sleep and he creeps outside, where he finds the hawk’s feather he snagged drifting in the river. He doesn’t know what omen means but he knows sign, a direction to go, and he thinks this works. He also knows where the Seer den is, and Spottedleaf is asleep, and so he takes his feather and he nudges it in front of her den and before he goes he looks up at Tadpole’s little star.

A firefly flits past his nose, and glows, once-twice. I love you.

    Summary

Sandrone didn't die facing Dottore. She didn't die at all.
Instead, she fell out of the sky into someone's driveway. Human now. No explanation, no return ticket.
The woman who found her—the one who hums constantly, tilts her head in that infuriating way, and smiles that small smile—looks at Sandrone like she's something worth knowing.
Sandrone is handling this extremely well. (She is not)
Now she's learning about traffic lights, cereal philosophy, Twitter’s misery olympics, and why people put children in shopping carts without restraints. (She has opinions)
Somewhere in between reorganizing grocery store shelves, getting dragged into children's inflatable mazes, and being asked if she's married to a woman she only just met—she starts to think maybe this world isn't so bad.
She just has to survive the traffic lights first.
The others don't remember her. They keep asking where she's from.
Sandrone is very tired of that question.

    Summary

Severus Snape has his emotions in check. He knows that he experiences anger and self-loathing and a bitter yearning, and that he rarely deviates from that spectrum… Until the first-year Luna Lovegood arrives to his class wearing a wreath of baby’s breath.
