    It starts like this:

    He is naked and shivering, and he feels like a babe: unmoored, unkept, unfathered. He is a young man with a strong chin and unbound hair, holding a hungry and determined look in his eyes as he takes careful steps forward across morning-wet pebbles, toeing his way down the bank until the river comes forward eagerly to lap at his ankles. In one hand is a small ceramic jar of dark red ink. In the other is his mother’s pendant.

    Luo Binghe comes into his title on a quiet morning before the sun has even risen, while the dew still sticks to the grass and the cocks crow from a distance. He bathes in the stream like always, and finds something simple for breakfast like always, and when the sun finally rises above the hills to meet his face, the ink he has set upon his skin names him Lord of Rivers.

    Luo Binghe's blood is as good as contract. His duty is to slay his god.

    But how does one slay his god, when he's killed him every night for the past six years?

    (How does one bring back his god when another man kills him first?)

    Izuku was the last living survivor of the Antimatter War. He was the last living member of the Nefling race - a sentient race of tall, ethereal ‘space elves’ as the Humans called them.

    OR: Alien!Izuku has been captive to the human race for 30 years after they eradicated Izuku's home and everyone he loved. He is bound to the last antimatter engine from his home, a ship the humans tore apart to retrofit into their own. What will happen if that engine finally dies?
