    The Hail Mary has been shot out into the depths of the infinite void of space to search for an answer that may not even be there. Aboard, the three crew members lay in stasis as the ship hurtles like an arrow towards a distant star, with no hope of return, but a desperate hope to make things right.

    At home, two brothers are left in sudden and violent grief. A woman grapples with whether or not she made the right decision. The world strains and suffers under the weight of the coming Fimbulwinter.

    Klee's sitting outside, clutching her backpack to herself, Dodoco hanging off of it, slightly wet and very much miserable. There are sniffing sounds coming from her and Kaeya can’t exactly tell if it’s from her crying, or her being cold from the terrible rain.
    Either way, it makes his heart clench.
    It’s an all too familiar sight, isn’t it?
    Well, Kaeya would know, wouldn’t he? He knows firsthand what it feels like to see a parent leave, waiting hours for them to return only to be left with the numbness of being left behind. He knows the turmoil of fear and anger that goes on in a child’s head when they’re waiting on a parent who might never come.

    Alice was supposed to come back by noon, today. However the sun is already setting and there are almost no signs of Alice. Klee refuses to come inside until Alice returns, despite the terrible storm outside. With an all-too-familiar situation, Kaeya decides to try and wait it out with her, if not convince her to come inside earlier. Even if it means revisiting some memories he would've preferred forgetting.

    Summary

    This is a fourth-wall-breaking idea that I came up with! - this series has been adopted 👍👍✨

    Originally, this series was just a one-shot, but with all the support and comments, we turned it into a full-blown plotline: Most of the suggestions were simply too good to pass up...🌟⭐🌟
    Genshin has been bending the rules of game design, and i couldn't help but pick them apart :)

    This series features:

    - Kaeya being aware of the game ✨
    - Painful revival / healing of characters near statues ✨
    - Dying over and over again ✨
    - The nation of Khaenri'ah, attempting to break the game and getting cursed for it 🌸
    - Celestia = MiHoYo ✨
    - Brotherly Angst? Certainly!✨
    - Breaking the game mechanics (Matrix style) ✨

    Series Entries:
    [Cross The Line] - ACT I - Overview of the Gesnhin Impact game world, with Kaeya being an alcoholic and Diluc discovering the reason for Kaeya's misery.

    [Path to Truth] - ACT II - Kaeya and Diluc take a look at their own lives, and become aware of all the interferences within. Together, they acquire a new goal - break the chains, and regain control.

    [Broken Gates] - ACT III - Not this year, for sure! 😅
