Summary
“Here they are.” She said victorious. “Do you recognize these?” Clover proffered her findings as she made her way back, settling at the edge of the bed next to him.
“How could I forget…” he trailed off, reaching to touch the sheen of the ribbon. It was the selfsame that Tataru had so carefully wrapped from the base of her middle fingers to wind and twist up her arms for the gala so many months ago now, nearing a year if she thought about it enough. “Dare I ask?” He looked keenly at her.
“It may be easier just to show you.”

Summary
“That will do spearman, I would receive my darling daughter.” With heaving breath, Estinien turned to see the people gathered before them in the throne room. None seemed to resemble the Dawnservant, but he supposed that didn’t matter. Belatedly, and to his shock, he recognized every face but one or two, and she was among them. Her dark hair piled back in the ponytail he knew so well, her olive green skin set against the deep black of her armor, greatsword at her back, and the many sparkling piercings that adorned her; Clover, the Warrior of Light and Darkness, his beloved.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Serendipity brings Estinien and Clover together once more in the throne room of the Dawnservant, but ardor and passion bring them together in the privacy of the Warrior's cabin after the sun has set.

Summary
“By the Twelve, are you… Fray?” Alisaie looked on in shock at her own words. A name she barely remembered. The ghost of a smile passing over Clover’s lips as the figure exhaled.
“Am I?” Clover’s head cocked to one side. “That name has not suited me in some time, I should think.” The shade considered, turning Clover’s hand over, back and forth in the air beyond them as they stared at the gauntlet it wore. “Fray, Myste, Heretic, Slayer, many are the names that once marked my aether, but now, I am simply… Esteem.”

Summary
“You’re alone… good.” He smiled, arms crossed as he stood in the hallway. “The twins thought now would be a wonderful time to pay a visit to my chambers. Rather than listen to them bicker about tonight’s snacks and tomorrow’s plans, I seized the first opportunity to escape.” Clover smiled up at him, admiring his exposed chest leading into the column of his neck. “To their credit, they decided against intruding upon your peace and quiet.”
“Care to take refuge?” Clover inclined her head into the room behind her, only a little suggestively.

Summary
“It has been some time since our…” He trailed off for a moment, searching for the right word. She quirked an eyebrow, perplexed. “Rendezvous.” He decided.
“Rendezvous?” She snorted a laugh, “Yes, that’s one way to put it.” She came to stand and lean against the vanity near him. “So you decided the best time to discuss that would be now, when you’re covered in drying blood and bruised to the Seven Hells?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After fighting his way through the Dravanian Hinterlands, Estinien thinks it the perfect time, still covered in blood, to pay his beloved Warrior of Light a late night visit, because surely she'd like to bed a battle-worn warrior?

Summary
“Yes?” he prompts. “Is aught amiss?”
“I didn’t expect to be spending the night outside the Manor,” she starts, tapping her chin. “So I didn’t bring any bedclothes.”
A beat of silence. "Ah," he says, carefully neutral.
Twelve, he thinks, panic dropping like a rock in his belly. Please don’t do this to me.
The Warrior of Light makes do on her promise to take G'raha to Ishgard, but when a sudden blizzard forces them to seek shelter in a nearby inn, they find themselves having to reckon with more than just the cold.
(Or, it's a bed-sharing fic.)

Summary
Refusing to give in, I see, he says quietly.
She does not speak her answer, of course, but she does not need to.
Very well, he says. If you will not allow me the reins, then let us work together, you and I.
The shadow of Fray hangs over them both.
