Summary
Peter never made any plans to run away, until the day he leaves. It isn’t an idea that slowly creeps up on him. He just stands over the sink one day in early spring, watching his father’s bright red ashtray bob up through the soap bubbles, and feels an overwhelming urge to get the hell out of this place.
Two years later. Tony Stark has been keeping his identity as Iron Man a secret, successfully hiding behind his spoiled, rich asshole persona. It’s isolating, but he doesn’t even like people anyway, so it’s fine, he’s fine, he’s great. And then he gets saddled with a new intern, who isn’t just hiding secrets: he’s barely holding it together.- Language:

3allTony’s eye is drawn to one candidate in particular. A kid wearing a suit he looks so uncomfortable in that it’s shooting straight past comical to just heartbreakingly endearing. Chewing on the nail of his thumb, his knee bobbing up and down. Drops his pen, and then drops his clipboard when he bends down to pick up the pen.
“Call him in first.”
-
Or: Pepper is interviewing potential new interns, each one looking more nervous than the last. Including one pale but determined kid named Peter Parker. What he has to say is not at all what Tony had expected.
Spoiler alert: the kid doesn’t get the job.

Summary
Cody, the long time owner of Kaminoe ranch in the middle of a busy (and beautiful) national park, passes the time by writing letters to his little brother Rex. There's not much to report until the post office in the nearby town of Tatooine is suddenly taken over by a strange and talkative new Postman that Cody can't decide if he hates or adores (it's probably hate, probably, Rex will know).
(A tiny story of sewing needles, opera stations, nice trucks, good food, bad weather, mules, bears, and the intimacy of writing someone a letter)

Chirrut threw his head back, as though Baze had issued a challenge.
"I'll leave a mark on you some day," he said. It felt like a promise. Maybe a threat. "You're not a distraction. And it's not a passing fancy."
He pointed at Baze – a piece of incivility Baze felt he hardly deserved. "You watch out. I'm going to prove it. The Force is with you, Baze."
This was a perfectly conventional thing for one novitiate to say to another, by way of praise or encouragement. It was typical of Chirrut that he should have made it weird.
Chirrut pursues Baze. Kids at the Temple fic, spanning a period of 20 years.

Smash the Walls of the Clock and Run
Drag0nst0rmCody stuck his helmet back on and hit the comm. “Report,” he ordered.
There was a moment of uncharacteristic silence.
“Uh . . . clear,” one of his captains tried. “We’re all clear here. No back-up needed. Everything’s handled, and all the Jedi here are definitely dead. Super dead. How about you?”
There was another silence as Cody attempted to digest the fact that someone genetically identical to himself had thought that was a good attempt at a bluff.
“We are . . . also clear,” Squad Two reported. “And we will be, uh, checking on Squad One.”
Slightly better.
“Right,” he said. “Somebody find a General that knows how to put this place on siege protocols and rendezvous in the main hall. We’ve got a Code One on our hands.”
AKA Code: Jedi Nonsense.

Summary
Two independent stories that talk to each other, plus some extra material, all in the same universe.
"Twenty-nine" goes first chronologically, but it can be sees as a spinoff of “Twenty-six”. Or maybe "Twenty-six" is the spin-off and "Twenty-nine" is the main story. The point is that the reading order doesn't matter.- Words:

This is the most beautiful writing and so dang clever. I don't often laugh out loud when reading; I chuckle, I smile but usually that's it. There were times with this I was giggling so madly I scared the cat. Then there were times when the perfectly formed moment had me in tears. I had to slow my reading speed way down ; I didn't want to miss a thing and I absolutely wanted to savor every moment (and the surprises) in this first reading. The musical moments are pure gold. I 1000% prefer this over the source material. If there is any justice, the author is busy writing original work to be published to acclaim and awards.

Summary
Organa refers to the bump as Obi-Wan’s ‘tapeworm,’ his ‘parasite,’ his ‘great inconvenience,’ and his ‘divine retribution.’ Obi-Wan, never to be outdone, refers to the issue as ‘hearsay’ and ‘rumors, just rumors, my dear friend.’
It seems that he has truly dug his heels into this game, and he’s not about to let up anytime soon.
(Obi-Wan gets pregnant during the war and decides that the obvious course of action is constant and brazen denial.)

qigiined“Listen,” Fox says, “Y’all cowards can do what y’all cowards do, but this is my singular chance to make Kote as miserable as he’s made me for the last fourteen fucking years.”
“This is how you lose baby-privileges,” Gree says. “Do you want to lose baby-privileges?”
Fox’s face goes through several visible thoughts, but in the end, he picks determination. Gree tsks in disgust and turns back to Anakin.
“If you want to be a sensation, sir, we’re happy to make you one, but Kote is Kote and he will never agree to this,” he says. “Besides, there are entire forums dedicated to Kenobi-worship. If they find out that he’s gone off and had a child, that base will be ruined.”
Interesting.
But consider: what if it was funny instead?
“Funny, sir?” Thorn asks.
“Yeah,” Anakin says, “What if you guys had everyone else submit their perfect pictures and then made a whole show about Obi-Wan being the uncooperative bastard he is?”
Gree holds up a finger to Anakin and initiates a group huddle with his brothers. Anakin steps back and lets them grumble and snap at each other for a good eight minutes before they come back to him with a proposal.
“What if,” Gree says slowly, “Every sequence of photos was a shit-show, sir? Is that the type of thing that civilians respond to?”
Oh, man. Anakin sure hopes it is.
“Okay,” he says, “Okay, okay, okay. What if—what if we.” He lets out a long breath of air. “What if we won the war?” he asks.
The Commanders all look at each other, skeptical. Cody snaps at them and points at Obi-Wan.
“I mean, if we won, then there would be no reason for Skywalker to be vulnerable and he would have no reason to remain as Chancellor,” Fox says. “But we have to win in the next, oh, say—”
“I’m gonna say 72 hours,” Gree says.
“Make it 48 for a buffer,” Thire tacks on there.
“I’m saying 24 to be extra safe,” Fox decides.
There is a long, long pause ended by Obi-Wan looking up directly at Anakin.
“Can we win a war in 24 hours?” he asks.

They make it to the turbolift, Qui-Gon’s lips downturned as he notices a rather large dent in one of its metal doors, almost like someone had run headfirst into it. “I still don’t see what all the fuss is about.”
Yoda grumbles under his breath and steps onto the lift as it chimes its greeting. “Aware I am, that the root of the problem that may be.”
Qui-Gon ponders the elder Jedi’s words as they descend the tower, deciding to ask his grandmaster to explain further, but the words die in his throat as the doors slide open to full pandemonium.

News reaches the temple that Qui-Gon has left his padawan behind on Melida/Daan, or more importantly; that Obi-Wan is in the market for a new master.

Summary
Master Jinn meets the eye of this child in silence and then, he kneels. Before Obi-Wan, he kneels. And yet, Obi-Wan, bandaged and misshaped by heavy, inflexible cloth, does not go to him. He lowers his blanket-hooded face to the ground and stares there. Tired.
Anakin’s master has never seemed so far gone. He looks but does not see. Master Jinn carefully brings his hand up and cups Obi-Wan’s young cheeks and chin. He looks into those eyes now and they say nothing to each other.
(Anakin and Ahsoka witness the reunion of Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon in the aftermath of Melida/Daan. It isn't pretty.)

Commander Wolffe has a bad feeling about this mission. From the distress beacon, to the location, to the locals who were not once mentioned because the planet was listed as uninhabited, he's been on edge since day one.
If only his General would stop trying to adopt the locals' interpreter. Their very-much-a-clone interpreter.
Oh, and if Boost and Sinker would also stop trying to adopt the most-likely-a-deserter, that'd be great too.

“Xanatos,” he said.
“Kid,” Xanatos said. “Are you looking for me?”
“What do you think?” Obi-Wan asked dryly.
“Oh, good,” Xanatos said. That was not the answer Obi-Wan had expected. He raised an eyebrow. “This lady is crazy.”
Qui-Gon elbowed his way into the field of the hologram and gave Xanatos a very exasperated look. “Xanatos du Crion,” he said. “Explain.”
“Excuse me, we’re having a private conversation,” Xanatos said, and turned to Obi-Wan. “I’m trapped in jail, a lady breaks through the wall and offers to spring me. Obviously I’m not going to say no to that. She says she hates the Jedi too. I can get with that cause. I go with her.”
“Naturally,” Obi-Wan said.
“We get here, and she’s suddenly kneeling in front of some old guy. And they’re talking crazy stuff.” Xanatos raised an eyebrow. “Crazy. Like, not only are we going to destroy the Jedi, but also the Republic, and all the cute little kids, and raze the fields and boil the oceans and chizzik like that. I didn’t exactly sign up for a new system of governance— I just wanted to eat grapes in a big chair while my subjects showered me with riches.”
